Apple Hills Medical Associates (AHMA) has been committed to delivering quality primary care for more than 40 years. Over the years, Apple Hills physicians have delivered babies, made house calls, cared for patients in hospitals, provided palliative support, and remained an integral part of the Applewood community.
Our partnership with the Summerville Family Health Team allows us to coordinate care in new ways and enhance the skills of each provider to ensure the best possible care for you, our AHMA patients. Learn more about our practice.

Dr. Lau
Dr. Lau joined Apple Hills Medical Associates in 2010. He graduated from medical school in 1997 and completed his family medicine residency in 1999, both at the University of Toronto. In his spare time, Dr. Lau tries to keep up with his kids and enjoys cycling and skiing.

Dr. Mackintosh
Dr. Mackintosh joined Apple Hills Medical Associates in 1989. He graduated from medical school at the University of Alberta in 1984 and finished his Family Practice residency in 1986 at the University of Western Ontario. From 2011 to 2017 Dr. Mackintosh served on the Summerville Board of Directors, for 3 years as Chairman. He has been the Lead Physician of Summerville since 2018.

Dr. Phebe Shenouda
Dr. Phebe Shenouda is a graduate of Alexandria University Faculty of Medicine. She received her designation in Family Medicine in 2007 & Fellowship in 2018 from the College of Family Physicians of Canada. She has been practicing as a Family Physician in Winnipeg, Manitoba for more than 15 years. Dr. Shenouda recently relocated to Ontario for family reasons. She joined Summerville Family Health Team working at Apple Hills Medical Associates since April, 2022.
